1. Introduction / Who We Are

Develemit LLC, doing business as MartialOps (“MartialOps,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the MartialOps platform, accessible at martialops.app. We provide attendance tracking, belt progression management, and class scheduling software to martial arts schools and similar fitness operators (“Subscribers”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with our services.

2. Scope

This policy applies to information collected through the MartialOps platform, including our marketing website (martialops.app), the school operator dashboard, and any related services. It covers information about Subscribers (school owners and staff) and information that Subscribers enter about their students and members. It does not apply to third-party websites or services linked from our platform.

3. Data We Collect and Why

Account data. When a school signs up, we collect the school name, administrator name, and email address. This information is used to create and manage the account, send the activation email, and communicate service-related notices.

Operational data. Subscribers enter data about their students and members — including names, belt ranks, class attendance records, and related program information — directly into the platform. We store and process this data solely to provide the service to the Subscriber. We do not use student data for our own marketing or share it with third parties except as described in Section 10.

Billing data. Payment card information is collected and processed by Stripe, Inc. on our behalf. MartialOps does not store full card numbers. We retain billing records (amounts, dates, subscription status) to manage your subscription.

Usage and technical data. We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. We use Emit Vision, our own self-hosted monitoring service, for error and usage monitoring; it may collect an anonymous session identifier and error stack traces. This data stays on infrastructure we operate and is used solely for platform reliability and debugging.

Email delivery data. Transactional email (account activation, password resets, billing receipts) is sent through develemail, our own self-hosted email delivery service. This data stays on infrastructure we operate.

4. How We Use Data

We use the information we collect to:

We do not sell personal data. We do not use student or member data for advertising or marketing purposes.

5. Children's Data (COPPA)

MartialOps is a business-to-business platform. School operators are responsible for obtaining any parental consent required under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) or applicable state law before entering data for students under 13 into the platform. MartialOps processes such data solely as a service provider acting on the operator’s instructions. If you believe we have received information about a child under 13 without appropriate consent, please contact us at privacy@martialops.app and we will delete it promptly.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and operational data for as long as your subscription is active. Upon cancellation or termination, we will delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law. You may request earlier deletion by contacting privacy@martialops.app. Billing records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax and accounting purposes.

7. Your Rights (CCPA / California Residents)

California residents have the right to: (a) know what personal information we collect and how it is used; (b) request deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to certain exceptions; (c) opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information); and (d) non-discrimination for exercising these rights. To submit a request, email privacy@martialops.app. We will respond within 45 days.

9. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for all data in transit, encrypted storage, access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

11. Data Transfers

Our servers are located in Nuremberg, Germany. If you are accessing the platform from outside the European Union, your data will be transferred to and processed in Germany. By using MartialOps, you consent to this transfer.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify Subscribers by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The current effective date is shown at the top of this page.
